40 Days of Focus: Day 6

Day 6: Unity In Prayer

Read and Reflect On: Matthew 18:18-20

“For where two or more are gathered in my name…”

Could it be that there are somethings hampering our families, congregations, and community that can only be bound when we come together in unity? In the same way, could it be that God wants to let loose the Holy Spirit into our churches, our community, and our workplaces, but will only do so when we pray in agreement?

Just as prayer in the closet brings unity and intimacy between a person and the Holy Spirit, corporate prayer brings unity and intimacy for a group of believers.  There is something powerful about the children of the Living God coming together in unity and agreeing in prayer. Entire communities have been changed because of prayer like this.  We will see transformation when we come together in the name of Christ. God will walk among us when we gather in His name rather than the name of religion or self-centeredness.

What steps do you need to take in order to promote unity in the name of Christ?

What is a Faith Promise?  Glad you asked!

Just as a missionary is called to the mission field so also are those who partner with them through regular prayers and gifts.  A Faith Promise is the amount of money a ministry partner promises to give to a ministry out of obedience to the leading of Holy Spirit.  It is an amount of money missionaries can count on each month from a specific ministry partner.  Missionaries like us cannot step onto the mission field of their calling without the faith promises of God’s people  who partner to send them. Missionaries cannot go without being sent!
